EVENT TERMS & CONDITIONS

All persons entering or using the Ice rink or its facilities, do so entirely at their own risk (Skate at your own risk) and shall have no claim for injury of any nature whatsoever against the owners, management or staff. Ice Skating can be hazardous and the operator or management will not be held responsible for any loss or injury incurred regardless of its nature.
Insurance recommends the use of protective gear (helmet, elbow/knee pads). Socks are required to be worn in our rental skates, if you have bare feet, you will not be allowed to rent skates.
Any persons who may suffer from high blood pressure, have any back, neck, heart or any other physical limitations should have written clearance from their doctor and copy provided to the Ice rink management before participating in any ice-skating activities. Pregnant women should not skate at any time.
The management and staff will not be held liable for any lost, stolen or damaged articles.
Management reserves the right to refuse service or admission to anyone.

All those purchasing online tickets are deemed to have read and agreed with the legal information shown on this website. Information on this page is specifically relevant to online bookings.

No refunds are possible for any reason.

All visitors agree to follow the rules of the event and also and additional rules that are on display at the event, all such rules being implemented to ensure visitor safety and the well being of our staff.

Whilst we attempt to ensure the safety of all our visitors, it is the responsibility of parents/guardians to supervise and accompany children on site.

The parents/guardians must: remain within the event premises at all times and observe their children to ensure they are safe and well. Ensure children understand the safety instructions around the event including the guidance on hand washing and personal hygiene; Know where their child is and make sure the child knows where they are.

Parents/guardians know their child’s capabilities and behaviour best and so should ensure an appropriate level of supervision to reflect this.

All children may only use the event or any part of the event when accompanied by a responsible adult.

Strictly no smoking inside the marquee

Children and adults are discouraged from chewing gum.

Parents/Guardians must make sure that all the requirements on clothing and footwear must be followed.

Entry fee to the venue is free but ice skating is chargeable

Only food & alcohol purchased on site can be consumed

No glass objects to be brought on site

No dogs except guide dogs

Skating under the influence of alcohol is prohibited

Management/security reserve the right to refuse entry to both the ice rink and the refreshment/bar area if they deem it necessary for any reason.

Purchasing/Collection:

All visitors entering the ice rink must have a valid ticket to skate;

Full payment is required at the time of booking;
-
Booking in advance is highly recommended, the ice rink has a capacity of 40 skaters per session time only. If a session is fully booked, you will be offered the next available session time;

When purchasing tickets, if the ice skating session has already started, the full ticket price will be charged if tickets are available;

An adult ticket is valid for customers aged 12 years old and over. A child ticket is valid for children aged 4-11 years old. Children 4 years and under are not permitted to skate.

All prices are correct at the time of publishing. However, they are subject to change without prior notice;

Customers are advised to check their tickets upon receipt as mistakes cannot always be rectified;

Please note an online booking fee is payable on all online bookings.
Exclusive Hire of the Rink:

Exclusive hire sessions are available to book for a maximum of 50 skaters. These must be pre-booked. For more information email info@nwmh.co.uk
Admission:

A valid ticket is required on entry to the ice rink. If this is not produced, or the ticket is defaced or altered in any way, admission to the ice rink will not be permitted. Where a ticket is exchanged for a wristband on entry, the wristband must be worn for the duration of the session;

Southport Ice will not re-issue lost tickets;

Southport Ice reserves the right to refuse admission to the ice rink, whose duty it is to take health and safety, environmental and security concerns into account and at their reasonable discretion may from time to time carry out security searches. Southport Ice reserves the right to refuse admission to anyone on account of being (or appearing to be) under age, declining to be searched, abusive, threatening, drunk, other antisocial behaviour, or making unauthorised audio, video or photographic recordings. Southport Ice advise that no refunds will be offered to customers who are refused entry or asked to leave the venue;

You MUST report any injuries / incidents / accidents that occur whilst on or by the ice at the time to a member of Southport Ice staff.
Children on the Ice Rink:

Children aged 15 and under must be accompanied at the ice rink by a responsible adult AT ALL TIMES.

If a child is seen to be unaccompanied they will be asked to leave the ice rink;
-
Children aged 4 - 8 years must be accompanied on the ice by a responsible adult (1 adult per 2 children);
-
Children aged 9 - 15 years must be accompanied rink-side by a responsible adult (1 adult per 6 children);

Children aged 4 and under are NOT permitted to skate on the ice rink.
Cancellations / Changes / Refunds:

Once tickets are purchased for a particular session time, this cannot be changed;

All tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable;

Should an ice skating session be cut short due to an unavoidable injury / incident on the ice rink; dependent on the time of the incident, customers may be offered a transfer to another session. This is at the discretion of management;

Management reserve the right to change/remove facilities due to technical, operational and/or meteorological reasons without prior notice;

In the event of inclement weather, every effort will be made to ensure the ice rink sessions continue as advertised. In this case, should the sessions continue as scheduled, no refunds will be offered;

In the event of a session being cancelled, Southport Ice will endeavour to contact all purchasers either by phone, e-mail or in writing (using details provided at the time of booking), advising them of the course of action. However, it is the customer's responsibility to check before travelling and Southport Ice cannot guarantee that they will inform the customer of any changes. If a session is cancelled by Southport Ice, all customers will be offered another date / session to attend the ice rink. Should this not be acceptable, customers will be offered a refund.
General:

We will always respect your privacy and any personal communication between you and ourselves. We will always comply with any data protection legislation currently in force;

Southport Ice prohibits photography and use of video / recording equipment during sessions, unless for private use;

We ask all visitors to show common curtsey to both employees of Southport ice and the general public by not using profanity or engaging in unsafe or anti social behaviour and help maintain the environment and ecology.

For the comfort of all our guests smoking is prohibited anywhere within the Ice rink marquee.

Dogs are allowed in our bar / coffee shop area only and must be on a lead
